Venture Capital Partners Pty Limited is the manager of a venture capital fund specialising in investing in small to medium sized export businesses with high growth potential. Venture Capital Partners is jointly owned by the senior executives of the company and ING Investment Management Ltd (part of the ING Group, one of the world's largest financial services companies). This combination provides both personal commitment and international strength to the company.
Venture Capital Partners No. 1 Fund VCP No.1 Fund is a $30 million fund which was raised from a number of Australia's leading superannuation funds. The Fund is now closed to any new investments. VCP expects to raise another fund in the near future. This fund will target investments of $2 million to $8 million and will have a similar investment focus to the No. 1 Fund. The Fund has invested in established (i.e. not start-up) and well managed companies with a clear growth strategy, requiring capital to fund rapid growth, management buy-outs (MBOs), management buy-ins (MBIs) and shareholder replacements.
Takia Fund The Takia Fund is managed by Venture Capital Partners (Fiji) Limited, who is jointly owned by Venture Capital Partners Pty Ltd and Meridian Consulting in Suva, on behalf of FNPF (Fiji National Provident Fund) Investments Ltd. The Fund is domiciled in Fiji and is focussed on providing private equity to Fiji-based companies that show potential for growth, and are in the spectrum of early stage expansion to development and MBO/MBI. The F$10m fund began investing in July 2005, with investments in the range of $0.5m to $1.5m.
